What sets The Children's Center at Sabal Palms apart from other pediatric sub-acute programs around the country is that everything is designed with the child's needs in mind. Sabal Palms has a very nurturing and homey atmosphere with highly-trained and dedicated staff.

Every bed space has a window view with ample room to store extra-special personal treasures, as well as all life support equipment. All of our ceilings are decorated with hand-painted murals, from outer space scenes to underwater themes, that help stimulate the children while in bed.

School and learning are a child's work. Children at Sabal Palms either attend our full-service on-site one-room school with internet access that's tailored to their needs, or attend public school in the community. Pinellas County School System provides specialized teachers who develop individualized education programs for patients as early as 3 years of age.
