Sabal Palms Health Care Center’s goal is to help you return to a more comfortable and independent life in your home setting of choice. In conjunction with your physician’s orders, we offer a full range of sub acute services to aid in your recovery, including:

• Physical Therapy – To improve the movement, flexibility, balance, strength, and coordination
• Orthotics – Fractures, traction, amputation care, prosthetic care, joint replacements
• Orthopedic injury training
• Gait assessment
• Aquatic Therapy – To improve balance and minimize stress on joints
• Occupational Therapy – To maximize independence in activities of daily living such as dressing, self-feeding, bathing, and grooming
• Splinting programs
• Speech/Language Therapy – To enhance the ability to speak effectively, as well as regain lost abilities to communicate
• Dysphasia management – Including diet modification, oral muscle strengthening, compensatory strategies, and skilled education to address swallowing difficulties
• Wheelchair seating and positioning
• Postural correction
• Pain management
• Neurological and cognitive rehabilitation – Stroke rehab, sub acute spinal cord injuries

Sabal Palms offers some of the most comprehensive skilled nursing facility programs in Pinellas County, and our rehabilitation patients return to their individual living arrangements after an average length of stay of 26 days.

Sabal Palms Health Care Center at The Palms of Largo offers the unique opportunity for continuity of therapeutic care through our outpatient rehabilitation program, which provides services for our assisted and independent living communities across The Palms of Largo campus.
