Royal Theatre Group

There is nothing better than opening night with the Royal Palms Theatre and Chorus teaming up to present one of our very own versions of shows like “My Fair Lady,” “Cats,” “The King & I,” “Mame,” “Hello Dolly,” “Oklahoma,” “Give My Regards to Broadway,” and even a parody written by the residents called, "The Days of Our Lives At Royal Palms.” No matter what the show, it always ends up the greatest comedy on earth. Our philosophy is, "If it stops being fun, then we stop doing it!" We have been performing musicals for over four-and-a-half years, and it is always great fun!

The Royal Art class helps to paint the scenery, and several residents assist with making costumes. It is a group endeavor to put on one of our shows. We perform at Royal Palms and we also travel to all of The Goodman Group communities within a close proximity. We average 15 shows for each production.

To quote one of our residents, "It gives us a chance to sing and dance together, and we have great fun in rehearsals and on show nights. These plays are one of the highlights of our year." Everyone at Royal Palms is involved in some way – either in the production, or in the audience. We always play to a full house!
